Pastor Andrew Concerned over Support for ‘Mormon Mitt Romney’

Pastor Steven Andrew of USA Christian Ministries recently wrote an article about Mitt Romney and Mormon beliefs

At Mormon Fact Check we are not worried about who you vote for in the coming elections, but that you have facts with which to make decisions. In Pastor Andrew article he made the following statement:

As a Mormon, Romney also believes that he will become a god and that Christians are inferior. Christians consider Mormon beliefs to be evil.

The part that Pastor Andrew made a mistake about is that Mormons believe that “Christians are inferior”. We will not go into Pastor Andrew’s motives for writing such a thing but will show in short order that this is in fact false.

First to the bible (which Mormons do believe in) Romans 2:11

11 For there is no respect of persons with God.

Next the Doctrine and Covenants 1:34-35

34 And again, verily I say unto you, O inhabitants of the earth: I the Lord am willing to make these things known unto all flesh;

35 For I am no respecter of persons, and will that all men shall know that the day speedily cometh; the hour is not yet, but is nigh at hand, when peace shall be taken from the earth, and the devil shall have power over his own dominion.

Maybe Pastor Andrew would like to restate his point for us if we have taken it out of context, but we want everyone to know that “Christians are inferior” is not a Mormon belief. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints regard themselves as Christians and have far more in common with other denominations than differences.
